Professor Anatoly Belogurov - Dr. Sc. (Pedagogy), Head of the Centre of professional development and training for specialists of the Federal Institute of educational development (www.firo.ru).
In 1997 he defended the dissertation titled «Theory and practice of the humanization of the modern nature and science education: principles, approaches, technologies».
In 1997 he was awarded the prize of the Institute «Open Society»; in 2002 and 2004 he got the grants of the Russian Humanitarian scientific fund for the organization of the scientific research of some significant perspectives for the development of the Russian national education.
In 2003 he defended PhD thesis «Establishing and development of the ethnic and regional educational systems in Russia at the turn of XX-XXI centuries».
He was Head of the Psychology Department of the North-Osetian State University from 2004 till 2007. He was Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Republic of North Osetia — Alaniya from 2005 till 2007.
Prof. Anatoly Belogurov is Head of the Centre of professional development and training of specialists of the Federal Institute of educational development of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russian Federation since 2007.
He is member of the editorial board of the scientific and academic magazine of the Russian Academy of education «Pedagogics», the full-fledged member of the European Academy of Natural History; the active member of the International Pedagogical Academy; the corresponding member of the International Academy of Sciences of the Pedagogical Education
In 2011 The Russian Academy of Natural Science awarded A. Belogurov the Title of Honor «Founder of school of thought» in the field of «Philosophy and methodology of the development of the ethnic and regional educational systems».
He supervised 11 post-doc students (Candidates of Pedagogical Sciences).
Anatoly Belogurov is the honorary member of the Higher Professional Education of Russian Federation (2007). He was awarded the Medal of K. D. Ushinskiy (2011).
Research interests: learning of the ethnic and regional educational systems, polycultural education, educational politics, and issues of pedagogues training.
He published more than 280 scientific and methodological papers on philosophy and sociology of education, pedagogics, and psychology.
